Measurements
Navy Method Calibrated
Provide your circumference measurements for a precision body composition estimate.
Why the Navy Method?
Developed by the US Navy Health Research Center, this method uses physical dimensions (Neck, Waist, and Height) to estimate body density with high reliability. Unlike BMI, it accounts for differences in muscle mass, making it a favorite for athletes and fitness enthusiasts.
Measure at the narrowest point of the waist and neck.
Women must also measure the widest part of the hips.
Composition Standards
Measure Correctly
For the most accurate results, use a high-quality flexible measuring tape. Measurements should be taken on bare skin with the tape pulled snug but not compressing the soft tissue.
