Terms of Service
Effective date:
These terms cover how you can use Kodivio, what we're responsible for, and what we're not. We've written them to be readable — not to bury important things in dense legal language.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Kodivio (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and any future updates to them. If you don't agree with any part of these terms, please stop using the Platform. We reserve the right to update these terms as the Platform evolves — when we do, the effective date at the top of this page will change. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
What Kodivio Provides
Kodivio offers a collection of free, browser-based tools and calculators — covering areas like finance, development, security, and productivity — along with written guides and educational content.
All tools run entirely within your browser. No data you input is transmitted to our servers or stored remotely. Everything is processed locally on your device, which is both an architectural decision and a deliberate privacy commitment.
Our tools are provided "as-is" for informational and professional utility purposes. They are designed to be accurate and are maintained against current standards, but they are not infallible — and they are not a substitute for professional advice in regulated domains.
Not Professional Advice
This one matters, so we're being direct about it: Kodivio is a tool platform, not a professional advisory service. The results you get from our Mortgage Calculator, US Tax Calculator, or any other financial tool are estimates based on the inputs you provide. They are useful for planning, comparison, and general understanding — not for filing returns or making binding financial decisions.
Kodivio is not a licensed financial advisor, tax professional, attorney, or certified public accountant. If you're making a significant financial or legal decision, please work with a qualified professional who can review your specific circumstances.
Limitation of Liability
Kodivio and its operators make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of any tool or result on the Platform. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including financial loss, data loss, or decisions made based on tool output — arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform.
Intellectual Property
The design, branding, written content, and software that make up Kodivio are owned by Kodivio and protected under applicable intellectual property laws.
You're welcome to use our tools freely for personal or professional purposes. What you may not do: scrape or systematically copy our tools, reproduce our content in bulk, redistribute our software as your own, or create derivative works without explicit written permission. If you'd like to collaborate, embed, or license any part of what we've built, reach out through our contact page.
Acceptable Use
Kodivio is designed for legitimate personal and professional use. By using the Platform, you agree not to:
- ✗Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of our tools
- ✗Use automated bots or scrapers to access or index our content at scale
- ✗Use the Platform in any way that violates applicable law or regulation
- ✗Misrepresent the source of content generated or assisted by our tools
Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or your use of the Platform will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the applicable courts in that jurisdiction. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
Questions About These Terms
If you have questions about anything in these terms, or if something isn't clear, please contact us. We'd rather explain something than have you operate under a misunderstanding.
